What is the US Paragliding Comp Registration System?

The competition registration system is a result of input from Comp Organizers Cliff Curry, Andy Macrae, Benn Kovco and Gavin Zahner.

The system is designed to help comp organizers and comp pilots save time and energy by centralizing the pilot registration system.

The idea is simple: Create a tool for competition organizers that simplifies the running of a comp. This tool also makes life a little easier for pilots - pilots only need to type in their details once, not for each comp.

This tool can be "bolted on" to an existing website or it can function as a stand alone site.

Features for Comp Organizers:

Easy to manage pilot details - choose which fields from the database you want to manage and sort by column.
Easy to view or edit pilot details.
Sending emails to pilots based on criterion such as paid or not paid, or send email to all pilots.
Mark pilots as paid.
Registration Night - pilots can use a laptop to register or organizers can print check-in forms from the database.

Features for Pilots:

Web based registration form with flexible field validation to get accurate pilot details.
Pilots enter their details once, instead of entering their details for each comp.
Pilots can register or deregister for comps anytime during the year.
Pilots can update their own details.
If pilots forget their password, they can email themselves a new one.

Register yourself and then Contact Brett Hardin to get an administrator password. You can also test drive the demo system as a pilot or an organizer, or both.

The software is all web-based and opensource: mysql database and PHP written by Brett Hardin.
